Choose the effect you want
A wood-look finish and an applied composite overlay can produce different results. Discuss whether your priority is color, grain, depth or a particular panel pattern. Name the actual product construction in the quote instead of treating every wood-inspired door as the same material.
Review the finish in context
Compare a representative sample with the entry door, exterior trim and paving. Look at it under the lighting conditions that matter to your home. A screen image is useful for narrowing choices, but it should not be the sole basis for an exact color expectation.
Keep care and performance separate
Request the care instructions for the chosen finish and the performance documentation for the complete assembly. A decorative appearance does not establish a wind rating or a maintenance-free lifetime. Save the product identification so future touch-up or section discussions start with the right specification.
Your questions
Is a wood-look door made from real wood?
Not necessarily. Some options use a finish on steel, while others use overlays or cladding. The proposal should state the construction explicitly.
Can you match my front door exactly?
An exact match should not be promised from a photo. Compare physical samples and agree how the selected finish will be described on the order.
