Review changes since installation
Mention added shelving, decorative hardware, accessories or floor work near the opening. Keep the original equipment documents available where possible. A routine visit should identify whether the current setup still matches the instructions and whether a new operating symptom needs more than ordinary care.
Separate findings from a future project
Retain the maintenance record with the home’s installation packet. If replacement or a structural change is recommended, Westlake’s City View and onsite-plan requirements become relevant to that separate scope. Agree who will manage it before a maintenance recommendation turns into an order for new equipment.
Your questions
Does a new-looking door need no maintenance?
Appearance does not establish the condition of moving parts or safety functions. Follow the instructions for the actual door and opener and report changes in operation.
Can stored items be attached to the door to save space?
Do not add loads without a manufacturer-supported assessment. Moving-door attachments can change the assembly’s weight and operation; independently supported storage is a separate planning question.
