Choose features around actual use
Explain whether more than one resident uses the entrance and which existing remotes should be retained. Include any preference for backup operation or connected control, with the selected model’s requirements stated clearly. A quieter operator will not by itself correct noisy or damaged door hardware.
Keep a changed installation traceable
Specify the operator, accessories and any separate electrical work in writing. Greenacres uses MGO Connect for current applications and tracking; if the project requires that process, the paperwork should describe the actual scope. Prior installation documents can help identify equipment without replacing a fresh assessment of mounting and door suitability.
Your questions
Does a wall-mounted opener fit every garage?
No. The door system and available installation conditions must suit the particular product. Free ceiling space alone is not a compatibility test.
Will the installer explain the new controls?
Include demonstration, model documentation and the agreed household-control setup in the handover discussion before work is approved.
