Use the service history instead of guessing
An older invoice can reveal whether the last visit concerned springs, an operator or the door itself. Bring that record when a problem returns, and describe what changed after the previous work. A recurring noise does not prove the same component has failed again. Distinguishing the mechanical door from its controls keeps the new assessment focused.
Keep the project in the current permit system
Greenacres directs new applications and tracking through MGO Connect on its Building Division page. Earlier installation paperwork can help identify equipment but does not describe or approve a different replacement. Retain the selected product description with the current project documents and check that accepted scope changes are reflected in the record.
Your questions
What if I only have a photograph of the old door?
It helps describe appearance, but a product label or earlier specification is more useful for checking compatibility. Do not remove hardware or climb to obtain a label.
Will an old permit number identify my new project?
Not by itself. Use the actual current application and property information; ask the City which record or submission applies when you are unsure.
