Separate care from a developing fault
Report unusual movement, loose-looking components or a change in sound before routine cleaning or lubrication is discussed. Use manufacturer instructions for the actual surfaces and hardware. Leave springs and loaded attachments untouched; an operating concern should not be hidden by adding lubricant indiscriminately.
Make follow-up work a separate decision
Ask which findings need repair and which are normal care recommendations. If a replacement is later proposed, Juno Beach’s Building Department can clarify the applicable project process; a low estimate does not automatically resolve permit requirements. Keep that new project separate from the maintenance visit and its condition findings.
Your questions
Can maintenance restore missing product approval paperwork?
It may help identify the installed equipment, but it cannot create historical approvals or prove an undocumented configuration was accepted.
Should all care products be safe on every finish?
No. Follow the door manufacturer’s surface-specific guidance, particularly when glazing, decorative overlays or different materials are present.
