Keep information gathering outside the mechanism
Use an existing invoice or safely visible door label to describe the equipment. Mention previous spring work and later changes to the door, including glazing or attached material. Do not measure the spring, loosen its mounting or move a damaged assembly to find a part number.
Preserve a clear alternative when replacement is proposed
The technician should explain whether the original door can remain and why wider damage changes that answer. If a new door becomes the chosen project, Juno Beach’s MGO process and current scheduling requirements should be addressed separately. A spring-service request does not predetermine a replacement order.
Your questions
Can I choose a spring from an online weight chart?
A trained door technician should establish the appropriate specification for the installed system. A simplified chart or paint color is not a complete assessment.
Will new springs correct damaged tracks too?
No. Related guiding or section damage must be identified and included explicitly if repair is needed.
