Identify the affected assembly
When two doors share the driveway, use left and right as viewed from outside and describe each separately. Tell us which operator serves the problem door and whether the other assembly still behaves normally. One damaged door does not establish that every spring, roller or operator at the property needs replacement.
Ask for a clear repair boundary
The proposal should explain the condition being corrected and any wider recommendations. If replacement becomes the better option, request a distinct specification and clarify the relevant permit and inspection record through the Village’s building system. That keeps a mechanical repair from turning into an undefined redesign.
Your questions
Can the second door be inspected at the same visit?
Mention it in the request so the scope and access can be planned. Its recommendations should still reflect its own condition.
Will identical-looking doors use the same parts?
Not necessarily. Sizes, construction and earlier modifications can differ even when the exterior style matches.
