Review the edge that needs attention
A bottom seal, side trim and floor-mounted threshold occupy different positions. Retain an available product record or show the existing channel from a safe location. A strip that looks large enough may still have the wrong profile or interfere with normal closing.
Include changes beyond the seal
Tell us about planned floor work or visible trim changes so the proposal reflects the final surfaces. If that becomes a broader project requiring inspection, Tequesta publishes contact and inspection preparation guidance. Confirm the process for that actual scope; replacing flexible material should not quietly include unspecified flooring or construction work.
Your questions
Will a threshold fix water entering through a side joint?
Not necessarily. Establish the entry path before selecting a product; a floor strip does not address every gap around the opening.
Should I lower the opener’s travel to compress the seal harder?
Do not change travel or force settings as a substitute for assessment. The door position and suitable seal need to be evaluated together.
