Plan the work around the opening
Discuss how the old assembly will be removed, where the new sections can be handled and what must be cleared safely before arrival. Keep vehicles and stored items out of the agreed workspace. Changes to the opening itself need to be identified separately from an ordinary same-opening replacement.
Keep the inspection contact distinct from the delivery contact
Tequesta’s inspection guidance asks for a permit number, inspection type, address and responsible person. A person accepting delivery is not automatically prepared to coordinate an inspection or discuss the approved plans. Decide those responsibilities and the required record before the installation day.
Your questions
Does delivery mean the door is ready to install?
Not by itself. Product confirmation, site preparation and applicable approvals still need to be in place.
Can installation and final inspection be treated as one guaranteed appointment?
They are separate arrangements. Use the Village’s current process and the project’s actual inspection requirements when planning completion.
